GWS Radio is a fully Ofcom regulated radio service. It is unlike anything else currently available in the area. Every part of our output is sourced, created, and produced locally. Our presenters, producers, and contributors all come from the communities we serve. Alongside this strong local focus, we also deliver clear and accurate national news, giving listeners the full picture each day.
GWS Radio is made by local people for local people. That principle shapes everything we do. We are known and trusted for the diversity of our programming and the wide range of voices we bring to air. Music, conversation, debate, and storytelling all reflect real life in our communities. This approach continues to attract new listeners and strengthens our connection with those who already tune in.
On air, we deliver what our local communities expect and deserve. We provide reliable information, relevant discussion, and engaging entertainment. We challenge decision makers and hold agencies, councils, and authorities to account when it matters. At the same time, we give those organisations a direct platform to speak openly with the people they serve.
We inform, educate, and entertain in ways no other local station does. Our content is distinctive, independent, and rooted in place. When you listen to GWS Radio, you hear your area, your issues, and your voices.
