Happy Birthday to the legendary Director John Carpenter, who’s celebrating 78 amazing years today.
It’s incredible to think how it all began with the spine-chilling classic, Halloween in 1978, which transformed the horror genre forever.
After that, Carpenter kept raising the bar with unforgettable films like The Fog (1980), Starman, and the cult classic Escape from New York.
His knack for storytelling and atmosphere is unmatched. From the eerie suspense of Christine and the mind-bending thrills of The Thing (1982) to the supernatural chills of Prince of Darkness and the action-packed adventure in Big Trouble in Little China, Carpenter has given us some of the most iconic moments in cinema history.
Let’s not forget the sharp social commentary in They Live and the gripping tension of Assault on Precinct 13.
