London Marathon 2026

Thousands of charity runners take to the streets for the 46th London Marathon on Sunday 26 April, which is aiming to become the biggest ever staged.

They’ll follow in the footsteps of the fastest elite men, women and wheelchair racers in the world, running on the same streets and being cheered on by the same enthusiastic crowds that will fill the sidelines of the course across London.

Here’s how to follow all the action throughout the day on TV, on BBC iPlayer and on the BBC Sport website.

Gabby Logan leads the coverage throughout the day, kicking off at 8.30am on iPlayer and BBC One.

She’s joined by a team of reporters stationed along the 26.2-mile course, including JJ Chalmers, Blue Peter’s Abby Cook, Tim Warwood and Harry Aikines-Aryeetey. They’re on hand to tell the inspirational stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things and raising millions of pounds for great causes.

Marathon coverage moves to BBC Two at 2pm, and you can join Gabby for the best of the day’s action on iPlayer and on BBC Two from 6pm.

On Saturday 25 April, Gabby Logan attends the Running Show to look ahead to the 46th London Marathon, which promises to set a new world record for the most participants in a marathon.

She meets some of the inspirational charity runners, each with their own unique reasons to run this year, including those lacing up their trainers to raise millions of pounds for brilliant causes. She is also joined by former marathon world record holder Paula Radcliffe to look ahead to some of the most competitive elite races ever run.

Watch My Reason to Run on iPlayer and BBC One from 1.30 pm
