When it comes to shopping, I usually go into Aldi, but there are times when I can’t get what I’m looking for, so I’ll go to a different supermarket for those things. I often see the signs stating that the prices are the same as in Aldi, but is this true?
I was in Tesco buying some Dr Pepper this week, because I need it when working into the crazy hours of the early morning (currently 3am while putting this website together), and I noticed the swedes were there, and it claimed they were the same price as in Aldi. I needed a swede, so I picked one up, as it wasn’t worth going there for this one thing, when here it was for the same price.
When I was next in Aldi, I decided to check on the price, and yes, it was the same price as in Tesco, 62p. So it wasn’t incorrect that the price matched, but can you truly say that it is the same price, when the swede for 62p in Aldi was at least 3 times the size as the one in Tesco?
Yes, the swede in Tesco was 62p, the swede in Aldi was 62p, but the size makes a big difference when making the decision on where to buy it from. I know, it isn’t the size that counts, but what you do with it, but what I wanted to do with it needed a bigger swede…
The images used in the featured image for this post were not changed to make the point, as you can see from this undoctored image, with a can of Dr Pepper and my puppy for an idea on size.

Aldi did not ask me to write this article, and did not pay me anything to write this article. It is not written as article for Aldi. You can also get a close resemblance to price and size at Lidl.
