Find Something New on Netflix
When it comes to watching Netflix, I’m sure that I spend more time trying to find something to watch, than I do actually watching anything. Of course, once I do find something to get my teeth into, I’m all-in.
One of the biggest problems, is that the Netflix algorithms will push the same things to everybody and, with over 7000 films and shows available on the streaming service, there is a lot that you are just not seeing.
That is where these so-called secret codes come in.
A Netflix secret code is nothing more than a code that you put into the URL when using Netflix on a phone, tablet or computer, though not on the app or a regular TV (remember those?). Of course, you can always log into your Netflix on a browser and use these codes, add them to your list, then view them on the app or TV.
They all start with this URL:
https://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/XXXX
Then you add the code where you see the XXXX, depending on what it is you want to watch.
Here are a few examples:
Zombie Horror Movies
https://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/75405
LGBTQ+ Dramas
https://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/500
Documentaries
https://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/6839
That’s all there is too it, no magic formula, other than knowing what the codes are, and I’ve included many (a lot) of them for you below.
These links are all fully working, so you don’t even have to memorise how to do it. If you click on the first number in each of the sections, it will take you to a home page for that type of film, so if you are a horror fan (which I definitely am) then just click on 8711 and it will take you to the holy grail of Netflix horror.
Please note that these will all open in a new tab.
EDIT:
Since writing this article, I found two more codes which you may find useful:
