“The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13¾” captures the comic struggles of a quirky teenage boy as he jots down his life experiences.
The show originally aired on TV in 1985, coinciding perfectly with Joe’s teenage years—Joe was 14 then and could relate to what Adrian faced.
The original cast featured some outstanding talent: Gian Sammarco as Adrian, Stephen Moore as George, the lovely Julie Walters as Pauline, and Lindsey Stagg as Pandora.
The BBC is rebooting the series, with filming underway.
The new lineup features Oliver Savelle taking over as Adrian, Colin Hoult as George, Lisa McGrillis as Pauline, and Galaxie Clear as Pandora.
Can’t wait to see how this fresh take develops.
