I have been seeing quite a few posts on social media regarding Destination X, with many of them complaining about it being too complicated, but is this really the case?
Having watched the first two episodes, I can see how people may think this, but it is just a case of watching, and listening, carefully.
Much entertainment these days does seem to be spoon fed to you, explaining things in a way that a child would understand, just to be sure that they won’t lose viewers, but anybody who found themselves watching The Krypton factor or having to try to work out the answers on 3-2-1 won’t be worried by it at all.
The biggest problem are the people they have playing the game, and that is the problem, it is a game and they spend their entire time talking about how some of them are game players. Yes, exactly, they are playing the game. They seem to be whining a lot, and there’s just no need for it.
I do like Rob Brydon, and I think he does a great job for the UK version, but I’ve also watched the US version in its entirety, and that version has a very different feel to it, mainly due to its host, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, best known as Negan (The Walking Dead) and John Winchester (Supernatural), though he has played ,any iconic roles in his acting career. He brings something more to the role. The cast on the US version are also much more savvy to it being reality TV, and what that means. The UK cast often act as if it is a cross-over with Celebrity Coach Trip, bit with less charisma. They are just finding their feet thoguh, so we will see what happens.
