Recycling and Rubbish Collections

Following yesterday’s bank holiday, all recycling and rubbish collections will be delayed by one day for the rest of the week.

If your usual collection day is Monday, it will now occur on Tuesday (today).

Similarly, Tuesday collections will shift to Wednesday, and so forth.

This also applies to collections scheduled for Friday, 8 May, which will now take place on Saturday, 9 May.

After the bank holiday on Monday, 25 May, the same change will occur at the end of the month.

You can check your collection schedule online anytime.

With waste collections postponed by a day, a higher volume of waste is expected.

Compressing and flattening waste can help reduce the number of trips needed to empty trucks and create more space in your bins and bags.

All 16 recycling sites will operate as usual on weekends from 9am to 4pm., and those normally open on Mondays will be open on Bank Holiday Monday from 9am to 6pm.

For detailed opening hours and a list of recyclable materials, visit our recycling sites webpage.
