Offered by Somerset Council’s Libraries service, the Winter Coat Exchange is back. This amazing initiative helps keep our community warm by connecting those in need with cosy coats.
Now in its third year, the program has been a game-changer, with an incredible 2,470 coats donated last winter alone. The excess donations went to RAFT (Refugee Aid From Taunton), making sure displaced individuals felt supported right here and beyond.
If you want to help make a difference, you can find a participating library near you—Glastonbury, Street, Minehead, Yeovil, and many more—just drop off your warm, used coats or swing by to pick one up. As a community, we can spread warmth and kindness this winter.
Check Somerset Libraries UK on Facebook or email librariesmail@somerset.gov.uk for more details.
