Strictly Come Dancing 2026 is on it’s Way

Dazzling routines, outrageous sets, flamboyant costumes and the occasional dance dis-aaa-ster.

Strictly Come Dancing 2026 is on its way! The highly anticipated new season is set to brighten up Saturday and Sunday evenings this autumn on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Produced by BBC Studios Entertainment, Strictly Come Dancing remains the top entertainment programme in viewer hours on the BBC. The latest series drew an average of 7.8 million viewers (main show average on 28-Day BARB 4-Screens), with 8.6 million watching the Grand Final as Karen Carney and her professional partner, Carlos Gu, lifted the Glitterball Trophy.

Watch the new trailer and find out more about the launch show.

The full routine will open this year’s Strictly launch show – which will feature more dancing than ever before, thanks to the new way it will pair the celebrity class of 2026 with their professional dance partners.

For the first time ever, each celebrity and Pro will discover the identity of their partner in front of the Strictly studio audience via three specially-choreographed group dance routines.

Expect high energy, surprises, and a whole lot of dancing as this year’s celebs are tested like never before!

Strictly Come Dancing: The Launch Show will also take viewers behind the scenes as the celebs begin their dance rehearsals; plus the return of last year’s champion Karen Carney, who will dance her iconic football jive with Carlos Gu.

When is Strictly Come Dancing back on TV and BBC iPlayer?

Strictly Come Dancing will be available on iPlayer and BBC One starting at 7.25pm on Saturday, 19 September, and will air every weekend through until Christmas.
